  • Can I take Anadin if I’m allergic to aspirin?

    If you are allergic to aspirin, you may take Anadin Paracetamol Tablets, which contain paracetamol as the active ingredient.

    However, if you are allergic to aspirin, you should not take any of the following Anadin products that contain aspirin or ibuprofen: Anadin Extra, Anadin Extra Soluble Tablets, Anadin Original, Anadin Joint Pain Tablets and Anadin Ultra.

  • What is aspirin, and how does it work?

    Aspirin is known as an acetylsalicylic acid. It also belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

    Aspirin is an everyday painkiller for aches and pains such as headache, toothache and period pain. It can also be used to treat colds and flu-like pain symptoms, and to bring down a high temperature.

    Aspirin works by inhibiting an enzyme that produces hormone-like messenger molecules that trigger many processes in the body, including inflammation.

    Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). Ibuprofen is an everyday painkiller for a range of aches and pains, including back pain, period pain, toothache and pain and feverish symptoms of colds and flu. It also treats inflammation such as sprains and strains, and pain from arthritis.

    Ibuprofen works by reducing hormones that cause pain and swelling in the body.

  • What is paracetamol, and how does it work?

    Paracetamol is an everyday painkiller that can treat headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, period pain, aches and pains, feverishness and aches and pains of cold and flu.

    Paracetamol works by blocking the chemical messengers in the brain that tell your body you have pain. Paracetamol can also bring down a high temperature by affecting the chemical messengers in the brain that regulate body temperature

  • Can you take Anadin on an empty stomach?

    Paracetamol can be taken with or without food.

    However, aspirin and ibuprofen should not be taken on an empty stomach.
