PERIOD PAIN
Period pain can last as little as two or three hours, or as long as two to three days. The pain can be sharp and stabbing or a dull, steady ache.

SYMPTOMS
Period pain is usually felt as painful cramps in the tummy, which can spread to the back and thighs.
CAUSES
Period pain is caused by contractions in the uterus which briefly cuts off blood supply to the uterus, reducing the oxygen supply. This results in pain and discomfort.
You should seek medical advice if your period pain is prolonged and severe.
RELIEF
- Take a warm bath to help relax muscles.
- Stay hydrated.
- Light exercise will ease tense muscles.
