Ibuprofen

Like all NSAIDs, ibuprofen helps relieve inflammation, pain and fever. It works by blocking prostaglandin production in the tissues of the body. It is particularly useful for back, muscle and joint pains.

Ibuprofen is best taken after food.

Ibuprofen can be given from 3 months of age onwards in a liquid medicine. From the age of 12 years, ibuprofen tablets or liquid filled capsules can be taken at the recommended dosage.
