Anadin Ibuprofen

For when you need strong pain relief, Anadin Ibuprofen tablets hit tough pain hard. Anadin Ibuprofen tablets are specially formulated to relieve tough pain, letting you get on with your life.

Effective relief from:

  • Back pain
  • Joint or rheumatic pain
  • Muscle ache

Each tablet contains 200mg of Ibuprofen.

Anadin Ibuprofen is available in packs containing 12 or 16 tablets.

Dosage:

Adults, the elderly, and children over 12 years of age:
You should use the lowest dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve your symptoms. Take 1 to 2 tablets with a drink of water up to three times a day as required. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. Do not give to children aged under 12 years of age, unless on the advice of a doctor. Do not exceed the stated dose. If symptoms persist for more than 10 days, stop taking this medicine and consult your doctor.

Before you take this medicine

Do not take this medicine if any of the following apply to you:

  • You have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, or stomach bleeding or a perforation due to non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
  • You are allergic to ibuprofen or aspirin, or any other NSAID, or any of the other ingredients listed on the back of pack or in the pack leaflet
  • You are taking products that contain aspirin or any other NSAID
  • You suffer from severe heart failure

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if any of the following applies to you:

  • You suffer from asthma
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding
  • You are trying to get pregnant. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) which may impair fertility in women. This is reversible on stopping the medicine.
  • You suffer from sever liver, kidney or heart failure
  • You are taking corticosteroids, lithium, methotrexate, water tablets or medicines which reduce the clotting of the blood or reduce your blood pressure
  • You have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars because this product contains sucrose
  • You are suffering from heart problems, have had a previous stroke or think that you may be at risk of these conditions (for example if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol or are a smoker). Medicines such as ibuprofen may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack ("myocardial infarction") or stroke. Any risk is more likely with high doses and prolonged treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment (10 days)
